Organisation

Our work is managed in two streams:

  • Power system planning, design, project management and associated technical services click here
  • Energy sector consulting and advisory services click here

These groupings give our organisation shape, though flexibility and responsiveness are the keys to success. By using our people flexibly, we are able to ensure the efficient and timely delivery of services - and at the same time offering our engineers the opportunity to use their skills and grow their professional knowledge.

Quality, safety and the environment

Our commitment to quality shows in our people and processes.

From BPI’s beginnings in 1999, we implemented quality procedures based on the European Quality Standards and to give added confidence, we gained certification to ISO* 9001:2000 in 2004. As part of BPI's ongoing commitment to quality, our recertification audits ensure that we remain certified to ISO 9001:2001.

In the UK we are a registered and approved independent connections provider and our electrical system design work is routinely surveyed by Lloyds’ Register.

Our commitment to quality goes beyond systems and procedures and when you work with us, we believe you will see that our enthusiasm and professionalism show through in all that we do. Many of our engineers have chartered status. Project managers will be PRINCE 2** accredited, or working under the guidance of someone who is accredited. Other professionals are typically accredited by their professional body.

We have policy statements covering our approach to safety, the environment, and ethical standards in business. Though not published here, we are happy to make these available on request contact us.

* International Standards Organisation has developed over 17000 standards on a variety of subjects – standards which are unified, regulated and internationally accepted

** PRINCE 2 (PRojects IN Controlled Environments) is a process-based method for ensuring effective project management. It is a standard used by the UK Government and is widely recognised in the private sector, both in the UK and internationally.
