Lenders and owner's 'engineer' services
We act as owners' engineer or the provider of impartial advice to institutions/lenders/ potential owners. We can advise on the appointment of banking, legal and insurance advisers, certification of progress, provide specialist staff to support plant handover and conduct third party inspections.
Tender preparation and bid evaluation
Assessments of plant capacity, plant concept and design and preparation tender documentation compliant with international and local standards and legislation. We can advise on the selection of suppliers, manage the evaluation process and provide the full range of owner support.
Process development
Bespoke processes and procedures - to international standards - for the safe and efficient operation of plant, covering O&M procedures, safety rules, engineering codes of practice, and environmental standards. Advice on and the audit of quality and management procedures. We have a track record in providing operator training and development.
Project management
Plant and power network design, engineering and construction - we can offer full project management from inception to project completion, with emphasis on deliverables, project plans, budgetary control, quality and timescales. We can also provide on site supervision and commissioning staff.
Due diligence
Technical and commercial due diligence for valuation purposes, to support acquisitions, joint ventures, asset transfers or for project finance. This may involve the detailed technical inspection of existing facilities, asset appraisals and valuation studies, all of which our team can provide.
Feasibility studies
Advise on project feasibility covering a broad range of study types including investment and payback appraisal studies for new plant suitability; demand and supply balance studies including capacity determination; and evaluations to recommend operational modes for generation.
Commercialisation
Fuel supply agreements, power purchase agreements and the implications of deregulated/liberalised markets for power producers.
